ETHLEHEM - The township planning board will continue hearing an application to build a
concrete plant on Route 173.
The board made no decision on the controversial proposal at its Monday meeting. The hearing will continue 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at Thomas Conley School on Iron Bridge Road.
Minnini & Sons Realty 1087 Route 173, LLC is seeking board approval for variances to expand and construct new buildings for a
concrete plant. Hearings on the proposal started in February.
The site of the proposal was originally a quarry that also operated a
concrete batch plant, according to William Caldwell, the attorney for the grassroots group, Ctizens for Sustainable Planning, which is proposing the application.
